Working within the VCAA's Languages Unit, the Program Manager will use their high-level expertise in languages curriculum and assessment to support the ongoing delivery of VCE Languages studies and the roll-out of languages within the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Version 2.0.
The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting chance exists to join the Languages Unit in the Curriculum Division for a fixed term full-time position until 2 April 2027.
- Salary: $113,022 - $136,747 (Plus Superannuation of 12%)

Role purpose
Working within the VCAA's Languages Unit, the Program Manager will use their high-level expertise in languages curriculum and assessment to support the ongoing delivery of VCE Languages studies and the roll-out of languages within the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Version 2.0.
The main components of the role include but are not limited to:
- development of resources and professional learning to support teachers and schools in implementing curriculum and assessment for Languages from Levels F-12
- Engagement with key stakeholder groups
- Review of applications from providers seeking permission to deliver VCE Languages
- Contribution to auditing of school-based assessments for VCE Languages
- Contribution to curriculum review and ongoing facilitation of the national Team-oriented Curriculum and Assessment Framework for Languages (CCAFL) Project
- Contribution to, or management of, special projects within the Languages Unit.

Qualifications and Experience
- Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in Languages Education
- Essential: Experience teaching Languages, ideally in both F–10 and VCE
