Lismore South Public School is a rural school located in the Northern Rivers of NSW on Bundjalung country. The school provides education for students from Preschool to Year 6, with a current enrolment of 115, including the preschool. 24% of students identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. The school is currently operating from a temporary site while the new facilities are being rebuilt, expected to open toward the end of 2026.

Remuneration Package
Base salary: $149,059.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration valued at $168,946.00.
Responsibilities & Duties
* Lead and support teachers to engage with and adopt explicit, evidence‐based teaching methods and use of data in literacy and numeracy.
* Serve as a highly visible and approachable team leader, fostering positive partnerships with students, staff, parents/carers and the wider community.
* Work collaboratively with a dynamic leadership team to monitor and lead whole‐school initiatives, driving continuous improvement and sustaining a culture of high expectations.
* Lead whole‐school approaches to wellbeing, behaviour and inclusion.
Qualifications
* Successful teaching experience with a demonstrated capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare, with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programmes.
* Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
