About Our Team

As a member of the maintenance team within the Explosive Ordnance Maintenance Directorate (EOMD) in the Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB), you will work on a multi-billion dollar portfolio—some of the biggest, rewarding and most challenging projects and products in Australia.

You will be at the cutting edge of innovation in Defence. EOMD delivers ADF capability and facilitates collaborative and productive relationships with key industry players to deliver the best possible sustainment outcomes in a fast-paced, continually changing environment.

EOMD is responsible for the Maintenance and Repair of all RAAF Guided Weapons systems as well as a number of Army related Guided Weapons to support the war fighter.

To perform at such high levels, EOMD manages a matrixed workforce to deliver products efficiently and effectively. It does so across Maintenance, Project Management, Logistics and Corporate Enabling Services disciplines. Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Officer, you will collaborate effectively within a maintenance team, as well as with external stakeholders, to support the delivery of the required capability portfolio.

Under broad direction and in accordance with established priorities, principles, methodology and work practices, you will use your initiative to make informed risk based decisions and solve problems.

You will also be expected to support your team members to achieve organisational objectives, whilst continuing to pursue your own self-development goals.

Requirements
">
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. You should have excellent time management and organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

In addition, you should have operational knowledge of Explosive Ordnance (EO) policies, processes and systems.

Previous experience working in a defence or logistics environment would be highly regarded.
