About the role
We have opportunities for experienced and driven Civil Supervisor & Leading Hand, who display strong leadership and communication skills to join our Civil Works projects in North Queensland.
Reporting to the Construction Manager & or delegate, you will be the frontline management representative. As a supervisor & or leading hand you will be responsible for all assigned construction aspects of the project. You will be required to provide leadership to all subordinate team members across health, safety, environmental, quality and financial aspects.
Other role responsibilities as a supervisor:
* Schedule works and personnel to ensure effective management and continuation of works
* Interpret plans and drawings to ensure work is completed on time and to schedule
* Provide subordinate teams with strong leadership skills including motivating staff and leading by example
* Maintain all employee related documentation such as timesheets, daily diaries, incidents or reports
* Supervise and risk assess works and document all employee tasks i.e JSEA or SWMS
* Monitor the workplace and employee activities to ensure compliance with organisational procedures
Leading Hands will support their supervisor in the day‐to‐day project requirements in alignment with the above.
