Exciting leadership opportunity to grow the Allied Health Service at Epworth Geelong

Unique role to lead a high functioning, multi-disciplinary team

Located in Geelong, Victoria

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and with the oversight of a multi-disciplinary team of over 90 staff, the Allied Health Manager will lead and advocate for the development of the Allied Health Outpatient and Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Services at Epworth Geelong. The successful applicant will have experience in Business Development and a passion for promotion and growth of services, both within Epworth and externally to the community. This exciting leadership position will provide strong clinical and operational direction to each discipline, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Psychology and Dietetics. This role is responsible for the efficient running of the service and the delivery of exceptional patient experiences and care.

Critical to success in this role will be the individual's vision to lead and engage the team to further enhance the overall operation of the services in line with our strategic and operational focus. Through effective leadership, governance and relationship management, it is expected that patient and quality outcomes are of the highest standard and provided in a resource efficient manner.

**To be successful in this role**:
You are a good communicator, flexible in your approach and have natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients and their families. You are passionate about the growth of the service offering to the Greater Geelong and Surf Coast communities.

Have proven leadership skills

If appropriate hold a current APHRA registration in your speciality

Have a strong background in the delivery of clinical excellence

Have a strong background in business development

Previous experience in managing Outpatient Clinics is highly regarded but not essential

Have outstanding patient and customer service skills

Be able to drive organisational initiatives to improve outcomes for patients, families, doctors and staff

Be able to work collaboratively with a broad range of internal/external stakeholders

Have excellent communication skills with strong negotiation skills, high energy levels and the ability to drive accountability

Have demonstrated knowledge, commitment to and participation in quality improvement and education

Have experience in human resource and financial management as well as achievement of fiscal and operational KPI's. Post graduate qualification is desirable but not essential.
