Numbers Executive is pleased to be partnering with a specialist investor and asset-based lender focused on complex special situations, including underperforming and distressed businesses. As a global organisation, they combine rapid access to capital with deep operational turnaround expertise, delivering flexible private credit and special situations investment solutions.
The opportunity
The Investment Analyst will play a key role within the investment team, assessing new opportunities, reviewing financial statements and building and sensitising integrated financial models, while supporting senior team members across the full evaluation and transaction execution process. You will contribute to stakeholder coordination and commercial problem-solving throughout the deal lifecycle, and work closely with portfolio companies to update and develop financial models and analytical tools as they progress through their turnaround programs.
Required skills and experience
The successful candidate will bring approximately 2–5 years of experience in a corporate finance discipline, ideally gained within the Deals stream of a Big 4 firm or a corporate finance team in a mid-tier advisory practice. Exposure to debt transactions will be viewed favourably, and strong technical capability across accounting, cash flow analysis, financial due diligence and transaction management is essential. This should be supported by tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance or business, together with professional accounting qualifications (or progress toward), considered an advantage. To excel in this role, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, sound commercial judgement, strong attention to detail and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Strong organisational capability and the resilience to perform effectively under pressure are also critical.
