Job Title: Project Advisor (AO5)
Location: Buderim
Employment Type: Monday to Friday, 38 hours a week for 12 months with possibility of extension for another 12 months
Payrate: $66 per hour + superannuation
We are seeking a skilled Project Advisor (Project Governance and Controls) to join the Significant Projects Business Unit for one of our government clients.
About the Role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the integrity, performance and success of high-profile infrastructure projects across the region. As a Project Advisor (AO5), you will support the Manager (Delivery Support) and Regional Project Director, playing a critical role in project governance, performance tracking and strategic support.
* Implement robust project controls to monitor progress and identify corrective actions.
* Drive risk and issue management with comprehensive tracking and mitigation strategies.
* Conduct quality assurance assessments and ensure continuous improvement.
* Create engaging dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Excel.
* Ensure smooth integration and automation of data systems and workflows.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
* Champion innovation and adaptive thinking to streamline project processes.
* Provide training and mentoring to uplift team capabilities and performance.
Mandatory Requirements:
* A current, unrestricted 'C' class driver's licence
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa with work rights
* Must pass a Criminal History Check
* Advanced data analysis and visualisation skills, particularly using Power BI, Excel and SharePoint
* Demonstrated ability to manage risk and issue registers and develop proactive mitigation strategies
