About the opportunity
The Education Services Assistant performs general administrative, reception and clerical duties under direct guidance including drafting standard documents, record keeping, typing, updating web materials, and responding to routine queries for the work areas of the Centre for English Teaching and Learning Hub. As the first point of contact for the unit, this role requires sound administrative and organisational skills to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities on a day-to-day basis. The Education Services Assistant works as part of the Education Services team which includes the work streams of student services, public relations, events and communications, staff services, data collection and reporting systems, and research and technology, each with complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative services and operational support to the work area.
* Provide Centre for English Teaching and Learning Hub specific administration services and support.
* Coordinate diaries, meetings and events and provide conference support to the work area.
* Maintain records and reporting for the work area.
* Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities.
About you
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Taking initiative and exercising sound judgment in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.
* Problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.
* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
* Fast learner, able to adapt and quickly learn new skills.
* Have a valid WWCC (or the ability to obtain one).
* Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
