Role Description
The Nursery Labourer is a full-time, on-site role based in Toolern Vale, VIC. This role involves day-to-day tasks such as potting and re-potting plants, watering and fertilising trees, and maintaining nursery stock in healthy condition. The Nursery Labourer will assist with loading and unloading plants and materials, preparing orders, and keeping work areas clean, safe, and organised. The role may include basic grounds maintenance, use of hand tools and small machinery under supervision, and assisting senior team members with tree planting and related projects. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following all safety procedures.
Qualifications
* Experience or strong interest in horticulture, tree care, or nursery work, including basic plant handling and care.
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods in an outdoor environment.
* Basic skills using hand tools and small equipment, with a commitment to safe work practices and following instructions.
* Strong reliability, time management, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
* Current driver's license and reliable transport to Toolern Vale, VIC; willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
* Any relevant horticulture or arboriculture training or certification is an advantage but not essential.
