Overview

Change Manager - EPMO role at UNSW. This position is based in Australia with hybrid working opportunities and is a 12 month fixed-term contract at Level 10 TFR (salary determined after interview, commensurate with skills & experience).

Why Your Role Matters

The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) Change Team provides change management expertise and advice to project teams, uplifting the maturity of the design and implementation of change management initiatives across the portfolio and creating greater visibility of the level and impact of change within and across the university. The Change Manager advises, leads and coaches project change practitioners to develop change management plans that enable business areas and impacted teams to adopt and embed changes, ensuring business readiness activities are included in project plans, budgets and delivery milestones. The role ensures business areas are prepared for the impact of change ahead of go-live events and that there is sufficient support for the new way of working to operate in a stable business-as-usual state. This role will address complex people issues associated with a global initiative establishing an appropriate support model for the end-to-end education journey and related processes. The Change Manager reports to the Head of Change Management (EPMO) and has no direct reports.


Responsibilities Summary

* Utilise the EPMO change management framework to deliver effective change management support and provide timely advice and leadership either as part of the project team or on an ad-hoc basis.
* Advise on the development of detailed change impact assessments, plan and facilitate workshops, develop change management plans and communications, and develop and deliver training materials as required.
* Collaborate to identify organisational preparation risks and escalate appropriately; develop risk mitigation strategies and actions within organisational preparation planning.
* Prepare change management strategies to maximise efficiency and ensure organisational preparation tasks are reflected in project planning and scheduling.
* Evaluate cost structures and budgetary impact of proposed changes.
* Ensure all change impacts have clear ownership within the project or business.
* Contribute to the development of divisional business build and transition plans, and track user adoption rates.
* Identify changes in processes, procedures and practices required to achieve the desired result and deliver planned benefits.


Skills And Experience

* Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Prosci with at least 6+ years' experience leading and implementing medium to large sized change initiatives in complex environments.
* Experience working with all levels of stakeholders in designing and delivering change activities to support business leaders and their teams, integrating change management with project plans.
* Experience providing change advice and support across multiple projects or program streams within agreed timeframes and supporting business users to adopt and embed change.
* Experience in Change Management Program Delivery within the higher education sector; across workstreams such as Academic and Student Journeys, Branding, Marketing and Recruitment, Operating Model, IT and Data is highly desirable.
* Experience in design and implementation of operating models, including operational documentation to support the business is preferred.
* Strong ability in developing PowerPoint packs and SharePoint sites for different audiences; advanced written and verbal communications skills.
