Job Description
* Process end-to-end payroll for employees with accuracy and timeliness.
* Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Handle employee payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
* Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance department to ensure accurate reporting.
* Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports as required.
* Assist with year-end payroll processes, including tax declarations and reporting.
* Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
* Support the team with other payroll-related tasks as required.
* High volume payroll processing is essential
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within the Transport & Distribution industry.
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
* Effective communication skills to engage with employees and stakeholders.
