The Illawarra Shipwright Company is looking for a experienced shipwright/ boatbuilder. We do all manner of repairs on boats from full rebuilds to cosmetic repairs. We are a small team, so a positive attitude is essential. Our work is varied and remains a challenge everyday. You will work independently at times and with others. We are a small but growing team so we look out for our own.
Job Role & Duties:
Work alongside other tradespeople in a clean & tidy manner
Construction of composite parts, composite repairs & modifications
Complete fit out work and system installs
Use power & hand tools and machinery, as required.
Adherence to company policies & procedures, including but not limited to OHS and quality control procedures.
Gelcoat and paint repairs, structural repairs and composite manufacturing.
Requirements:
Driver's license and own transport
Shipwright qualification (Preferred but not essential), cabinet maker, carpenter, spray painter, joiner, fitter and turner or similar qualification
Prior experience in a related role and/or marine industry experience
Good communication skills and polite manner interacting with other staff and customers
Highly motivated with a professional work ethic
Must have a can do attitude.

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
