We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to oversee the entire financial accounting function for a major global technology and engineering organisation. This pivotal role requires technical tax and IFRS expertise and the ability to manage a small team while ensuring absolute compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial accounting activities, including any proposed changes and subsequent implementation.
Manage a small team, overseeing all functions pertaining to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and daily banking.
Ensure tax compliance, including monthly GST reporting/BAS, annual FBT, annual Income Tax Returns, and all Transfer Pricing reporting.
Prepare and review revenue recognition over time in line with IFRS15.
Lead the monthly and yearly financial period end processes, including payroll/superannuation reconciliations, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and project settlement oversight.
Prepare the financial year-end Financial Statements and manage the conduct of external financial audits.
Manage the opening and closing of accounting periods within SAP.
Update the Finance Risk Register on a monthly basis.
Provide financial reporting to all interested parties.
Qualifications & Skills
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent is essential.
Australian Citizenship is required to obtain the necessary security clearance.
SAP experience.
Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required.
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team and maintain internal/external relationships.
Experience in a large project-based industry (highly regarded).
Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience in a similar financial administration/management role will be highly regarded.
Fluency in Spanish (nice to have).
This permanent position is located in Sydney and requires the successful candidate to be an Australian Citizen and either have or be able to gain a Baseline security clearance (Tier 2).
