Due to growth, we are looking for a Field Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery of customer projects and services to meet project requirements. This is a great opportunity for an experienced project manager to work onsite (data centers) and exceed customer expectations.
Key Duties
* Lead and manage the team to deliver customer projects and services on time and on budget, meeting project specification/requirement and exceeding customer expectation/satisfaction; manage the resource schedule (internal and subcontractors) to meet project and service requirements.
* Review project proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
* Allocate and manage resources and confer with service, operations, engineering, sales & finance staff to outline project schedule and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
* Directly manage all project allocated resources.
* Actively manage coordination between factory, supply chain, project resources and customer.
* Ensure the company and project related Quality Assurance objectives are met.
* Establish and manage the project plan, milestones, and deliverables in consultation with all stakeholders.
* Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget including supply chain, warehouse, engineer, vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field service personnel.
* Provide accurate project forecast/margin, manage the project expenses, analyze project variance, and initiate corrective actions.
* Complete the project invoice and revenue generation including supporting documents required for customer submission.
* Ensure all activities of the project team comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
* Prepare project status reports for management & customer's and project related month‐end reporting for finance.
* Actively gather information on the customer and the customer's requirements to create additional business opportunities out of the ongoing project where possible.
* Resolve conflicts and identify the root cause of disagreements, facilitating open communication, and guiding the team towards a mutually agreeable solution.
* Lead resources to ensure issues are resolved in time to minimize the schedule and cost impact.
* Results driven and excellent time management to ensure project deliverables are completed with meeting customer and company satisfaction.
* Throughout project life cycle, identify and assess all risk factors utilizing available risk measurement tools and implement suitable mitigation activities.
* Assist in the continual development of the Eaton Project Management System.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree.
* A minimum of three year‐experience in the electrical industry dealing with UPS Systems, Data Centre, and technical product sales.
* Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree, or any Engineering Degree with project management experience for projects in the electrical industry.
* A minimum of five (5) year‐experience in the electrical industry dealing with UPS Systems, Data Centre, and technical product sales.
* Formal Project Management qualification (PMP or Prince) or > 5yrs experience in project management preferred.
* Strong communication (written and verbal), negotiation and analytical skills.
* Demonstrate an ability to work with cross‐functional team members and vendors/subcontractors to meet deadlines, be proficient in time management and the ability to prioritize workload.
* Cool under pressure and have a can‐do attitude.
* Have excellent problem‐solving skills and understand the process and dynamics required to hold the team together in common purpose toward the right objective for success of project delivery.
* Computer Literacy is essential, particularly with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project.
