What's on offer? We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Supervisor Mechanical / Electrical for our Water Projects within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business, focusing on the newly awarded Sydney Water project. This role is initially based in Alexandria and transitioning to Fairfield once the project begins. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to advance your career, gain industry-relevant experience, with on-the-job skill development and coaching offered throughout. In this role you'll be responsible for:
* Leadership of self-perform and subcontracted work teams
* Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements including SWMS, WHS, and safety regulations
* Collaboration with multiple project personnel and disciplines including mechanical, civil, and electrical
* Conducting Toolbox talks and prestart meetings
* Arranging supplies of materials and equipment and verifying delivery
* Inspecting daily work to meet plans, quality, and project standards
* Identifying issues on site and problem-solving
* Planning, calculating, and monitoring daily resource costs and working to budgets
How you'll connect to the role:
* Ideally, you will have exposure to capital upgrades in Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Facilities
* Proven commitment to leading safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site
* Strong people management skills, with the ability to develop effective teams
* Experience as an Electrical Supervisor working on M&E and/or civil projects
* Proven work experience in a similar position for large construction or water utilities projects
* You will have experience taking full OH&S responsibility on site
* A positive attitude and the ability to motivate trades and subcontractors
