Role Overview
You will be at the heart of our operations and will be responsible for all aspects of installing, repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems and components. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure systems function efficiently and safely. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our clients, ensuring their machinery and equipment is running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic components and systems including pumps, valves, motors, cylinders, and hoses according to technical specifications
* Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings and specifications
* Diagnose hydraulic system issues and carry out necessary repairs or modifications
* Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems and equipment
* Fitment, programming and servicing of truck mounted cranes
* Adhoc machining, component manufacture, as may be required for repairs
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
* Complete detailed and accurate service records and reports
* Manage your labour productivity to achieve agreed targets
Experience & Qualifications:
* Highly skilled & proven experience as a Fitter in an industrial or mechanical engineering environment
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and equipment
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and manufacturers specifications
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Cert IV in Engineering Mechanical with certifications/qualifications in Fluid Power
* Drivers licence required
