We are looking for a native level Japanese translator with fluent English and proven healthcare translation experience. This role is focused on translating healthcare and life sciences content accurately, clearly, and naturally for a Japanese audience. Candidates without direct healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, clinical, or life sciences translation experience will not be considered.
Key Requirements
* Fluent English, written and reading
* Proven professional translation experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, clinical research, medical information, regulatory, or life sciences
* Strong understanding of healthcare terminology and the ability to translate technical content accurately into natural Japanese
* Experience translating materials such as medical documents, regulatory documents, clinical content, patient facing materials, IFUs, scientific content, or related healthcare documentation
* Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and terminology management
* Ability to work independently and deliver high quality translations to deadline
* Direct healthcare translation experience is essential
* Experience translating healthcare or life sciences content as a core part of previous roles
* Able to demonstrate familiarity with medical and scientific terminology
Preferred
* Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, CRO, medical devices, or healthcare consulting
* Experience with regulatory or medical information content
* QA, review, or back translation experience
