Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join our project team. Be part of this iconic greenfield project.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join our project team. This position forms part of the Electrical and Instrumentation Group and reports to the Area Superintendent. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and supervision of Electrical (LV, MV, HV) and Instrumentation systems for a copper processing operation during its construction and early development phase.

You will work closely with project development, engineering, QA/QC, and contractor teams to ensure all E&I; construction activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and supervise all Electrical and Instrumentation works, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and actively supporting safety management and continuous improvement.
- Monitor schedules with three-week look-ahead plans, provide daily and monthly progress reports, manage conflicts and delays, and assist with mitigating plans.
- Review contractor plans, schedules, and detailed methods; correct or implement changes as required to meet milestones, and supervise works in line with drawings, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Work with QA specialists and Site Engineering to monitor quality, develop corrective actions, and manage deficiency lists to ensure completion of deficiencies.
- Ensure contractor documentation (permits, as-built drawings, procedures, etc.) is completed and maintained, coordinate with other disciplines to optimise resources, and direct subordinates in related duties.
- Support Performance Improvement Plans, mentor employees, safeguard assets, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Higher education in a related field, with at least 10 years’ experience in the construction of mining process facilities focused on installation of Electrical (LV, MV, HV) and Instrumentation systems for copper processing plants (sulphide).
- At least 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in an E&I; construction role.
- Demonstrated ability to work in international, multicultural, and cold climate environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, methods, productivity analysis, QA, and HSE procedures specific to the E&I; field.
- Knowledge of regulatory documents for power supply services, including technical characteristics, design principles, and operational conditions of power facilities.
- Ability to mentor and develop employees, with strong conflict resolution and problem-solving capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Navisworks, and AutoCAD viewer.
- Fluent English with proven leadership and communication skills.
