Learning Support Mentor - Remote Communities
Join ALPA and support learners in building their language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills. This role works closely with the Hub Coordinator to deliver training, mentor students, and support community learning programs.
About the Role
Working closely with the Hub Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills training to participants. This role combines hands‑on teaching, mentoring, administration, and strong community engagement
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver LLND training to help participants reach their learning goals.
* Assist with LLN assessments and weekly student support.
* Mentor and guide students in remote communities, including when the Hub Coordinator is unavailable.
* Support enrolments, record‑keeping and reporting requirements.
* Provide admin support and help maintain student management systems (training provided).
* Represent ALPA with community leaders, schools, and local stakeholders.
* Provide pastoral care, encourage participation, and uphold ALPA values and safety standards
About You
* Experience supporting learners or delivering training (desirable).
* Strong communication and community engagement skills.
* Ability to work in remote First Nations communities.
* Positive, supportive, and culturally respectful approach.
