About the Role
ANMEC is expanding Due to growth in ANMEC we have multiple Educator positions available in the VET in Schools program and Diploma of Nursing. Your Nursing Knowledge Can Shape Tomorrow's Workforce – Join ANMEC as an Educator
The Educator, reporting to the Course Manager and working closely with the Director of Education & Aged Care, is responsible for delivering, assessing, and supporting recognised qualifications and training programs at ANMEC. They ensure student welfare and learning progress, identify and address learning needs, and may serve as a Subject Matter Expert in specialised clinical areas. The role requires flexibility in teaching methods, including online delivery, and adaptability to support diverse learners, including VETiS students as young as 15.
We are seeking applications from experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals/educators with a passion for teaching others and supporting the future healthcare workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality training using contemporary education practices, including face-to-face and online delivery.
Carry allocated teaching load and maintain up-to-date industry, training package, and Certificate IV TAE competencies.
Monitor, document, and manage student progress, attendance, support plans, and assessments.
Mentor and support students, including those with additional learning needs or challenging behaviours.
Facilitate and assess clinical placements in aged, disability, and health care environments; maintain relationships with placement providers.
Contribute to course development, learning materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools as a subject matter expert.
Use approved assessment tools, provide feedback, and participate in validation processes.
Support compliance with RTO standards, participate in audits, and apply quality improvement processes.
Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, industry partners, regulators, networks, and VETiS program schools.
Mentor and supervise new educators, including those undertaking TAE qualifications.
Maintain continuous professional development and comply with legislation, policies, and standards.
Actively participate in ANMEC forums, events, and promotional activities such as school and career expos.
Represent ANMEC professionally in external networks and integrate union recruitment and retention activities into training delivery.
Adhere to ANMEC and ANMF (SA Branch) policies and procedures, provide required reports, and contribute to organisational advisory and administrative processes.
Fulfil individual Health and Safety responsibilities.
About You
The Educator is a Registered/Enrolled Nurse (or an Allied Health Professional) who provides education and assessment to students or course/session participants. The technical qualifications required vary depending on the area and clinical specialty.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification in a relevant health discipline.
Current practising certificate as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA).
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or higher qualification as per VET standards).
Experience in an area of practice relevant to ANMEC training programs.
Current expertise across the training portfolio delivered.
Up-to-date knowledge of the VET sector, including standards, regulations, training packages, and statutory obligations.
Demonstrated high-quality training and education skills.
Ability to work autonomously and within a small team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in using and developing relevant technology for education and training delivery.
Sound problem-solving, time-management, and negotiation/advocacy skills.
Flexible, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
Team-oriented approach with a passion for educating future nurses.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to represent and promote ANMF (SA Branch) in a way that supports member recruitment and retention.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Ability to provide guidance and support to students in line with training program policies and procedures.
Holds or can obtain a DHS/DCSI Working with Children Check.
Understanding of the VET environment.
Experience facilitating education for groups (e.g., classroom or group training).

Position Details
The Educator position is offered as a permanent part-time role, classified between RN 1.9 and RN 3.1. The final classification will be negotiated based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications, in line with the ANMF (SA Branch) Employees Agreement.
