Production operations specialist

Production Roles are critical to the operational efficiency of our facilities.


About this Role

This position plays a pivotal part in supporting our production teams by handling administrative, quality assurance, and data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer and internal calls, order entries, weighbridge processing, and credit adjustments. Additionally, they will accurately record production data, downtime, and trends for analysis and efficiency improvements.


Key Responsibilities

* Safety:
o Comply with legislation and health and safety policies.
o Identify and report hazards, near misses, incidents, and unsafe practices.
o Maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
o Support FeedTrack logs and action completion processes.
* Quality:
o Conduct daily QA inspections, product checks, and batch verification on the production floor.
o Manage sample collection, retention, documentation, and laboratory submissions.
o Maintain QA documentation, test results, and work instructions via SharePoint and G:Drive.
o Perform reconciliations and ensure compliance with S4 medication handling.
o Support the maintenance of HACCP, FeedSafe, and other quality certifications.
* Administration:
o Handle customer and internal communications, orders, weighbridge transactions, and credit adjustments.
o Record production data, downtime, and trends for analysis and improvement.
o Maintain records via SharePoint and review KPI dashboards.
o Support site scheduling and document creation.
o Oversee CHEP transactions and assist with audits.
* People:
o Participate in performance reviews, development planning, and training activities.
o Assist with SOP refresher training for operators.
o Engage in team meetings and collaboration.


Requirements

* Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative or cross-functional role, preferably in a production or QA environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong data entry and document control skills.
* Knowledge of QA standards, HACCP, GMP, and FeedSafe practices.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
* HACCP certification.
* Familiarity with feed manufacturing processes and QA requirements.
* Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.


Desirable

* Advanced knowledge of feed manufacturing processes.
* Experience creating SOPs and supporting document control systems.
* Familiarity with FMCG industry QA and administrative functions.
* Advanced Excel and SharePoint skills.
