As a Direct Care Worker working on a casual basis, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, well-being, and dignity of those in our care.
**Duties may include**:
- Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting
- Supporting mobility and dexterity
- Aiding with transfers and lifting using aids
- Communicating and assisting with glasses and hearing aids
- Distributing clean laundry and attire
- Cleaning equipment, utensils, and personal items
- Providing transportation for clients
- Assisting clients with special needs
- Supporting self-administration of medication
- Assisting with routine treatments and procedures
**Essential Criteria**
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams
- Strong communication abilities, adept at relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Competence in performing general tasks under supervision
- Limited experience with elderly, frail, or disabled individuals in community/hospital settings? No problem! We'll provide on-the-job training to help you succeed.
