Data Risk and Governance | Risk Management Group
Our Risk Management Group is dedicated to ensuring Macquarie meets its Enterprise Data Management obligations while improving confidence in the quality of our data. We collaborate with stakeholders across Macquarie's support businesses to bring critical data usages under governance and manage data risks effectively.
What role will you play?
As a Data Governance and Risk Manager, you will work closely with data owners to bring enterprise-critical data usages under governance. Your responsibilities include documenting end-to-end data flows, identifying and assessing data risks, implementing mitigating controls, developing and maintaining data governance methodologies, training stakeholders, and providing advisory support. You will also identify data gaps, recommend strategic remediation, and mentor team members.
What you offer
- 5+ years' experience in data management or operational risk management, preferably within financial services
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to build rapport across organizational levels
- Ability to work independently, manage stakeholders, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in data quality issue management
- Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management tools such as Collibra, and data profiling and quality solutions like Informatica IDQ or Dataiku is advantageous

As a global team, we manage current risks and anticipate future ones, including divisions such as compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, and prudential risk.
