About The Role
Syenta is seeking a LEM Process Development Technician to support the development and refinement of Syenta's LEM process. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based role with impact developing the heart of Syenta's technology. You will be working with Syenta's prototype semiconductor manufacturing hardware, working closely with engineers, scientists, and external partners in a cross-functional R&D environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in executing experiments, operating custom equipment, collecting high-quality data, and contributing to the iterative improvement of both process and hardware.
Day to Day
Process & Experimentation
* Operate and maintain prototype LEM equipment and supporting laboratory tools
* Execute experimental process runs following defined procedures and test plans
* Prepare substrates, consumables, and materials for processing
* Assist with process development activities such as parameter sweeps, DOE runs, and repeatability testing
Data & Documentation
* Accurately record experimental conditions, observations, and results
* Maintain clear digital records of all experiments and tool usage
* Assist with basic data analysis, plotting, and summary reporting
* Identify anomalies, trends, or unexpected behavior and escalate appropriately
Equipment & Lab Support
* Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and preventative maintenance
* Assist with troubleshooting hardware, process, or handling issues
* Support lab organization, chemical handling, and consumable tracking
* Follow cleanroom, EHS, and SOP requirements rigorously
Collaboration
* Work closely with process engineers, hardware engineers, and R&D scientists
* Support cross-functional experiments involving materials, chemistry, and mechatronics
* Contribute practical feedback to improve tool usability and process robustness

Required Experience
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Science
* 1+ years' experience working in laboratory, cleanroom or technical manufacturing environment
* Experience working with chemicals and lab safety principles
* Ability to work methodically, repeat experiments, and maintain consistency
* Good written communication skills for documentation and reporting
Desirable Experience
* Experience with semiconductor, MEMS, PCB, electrochemistry, or advanced materials processes
* Experience with laboratory metrology tools such as optical microscopy, SEM, FIB-SEM, AFM, conductivity measurements
* Exposure to prototype or research-grade equipment
