About Our Junior Civil Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Civil Engineer to join our team in the Asset Integrity Department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining project documentation, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications while collaborating closely with senior engineers and project teams to support smooth project execution.

This role requires travel to regional areas, including the Newcastle/Hunter region, where you will apply your engineering expertise to resolve complex issues and contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects.


Key Responsibilities:

* Apply advanced engineering principles, techniques, and methods to engineering projects.
* Carry out thorough engineering analysis, design, and computation to ensure projects meet industry standards.
* Conduct regular structural inspections/audits of critical assets, plants, and equipment to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with project staff and seek advice from project managers as required to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Implement company procedures, policies, and directions of senior management to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advances and innovative solutions for client problems to provide expert guidance and recommendations.
* Achieve personal and professional growth by participating in training programs and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.


Requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 2-3 years of experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
* Previous experience in the mining, energy, and resource sector is highly desirable.
* Solid understanding of asset management principles and their application in real-world scenarios.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Able to quickly grasp technical concepts and adapt to new situations.
* Demonstrated commitment to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
