About the Role
* Maintain legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
* Cleaning communal and dining areas to create a welcoming environment for residents.
* Cleaning and sorting laundry in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
* Maintain adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
* Adhere to infection control principles and WHS requirements, including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules.
* Complete required documentation and reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
* Provide ad hoc support to the broader team as required to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Prepare and present dietary services, including meals and drinks to cater to the diverse needs of our residents.
* Distribute meals to residents and assist the chef with meal preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties.
* Ensure the dining room area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
* Provide excellent personalised service to our residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are respected.
* Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards to prevent contamination and illness.
* Contribute to maintaining a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation.
* Clean and sanitise all kitchen equipment to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic environment.
* Accurately complete documentation and reporting to meet organisational requirements.
What You Will Bring
* Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents, staff, and stakeholders.
* A current Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain) to ensure a safe working environment.
* COVID-19 vaccination to protect yourself and others from the risk of transmission.
* An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential.
