Engineering and Reliability Manager – YATALA
Responsible for leading Engineering and Reliability at a fast‐growing pet food manufacturing site near the Gold Coast.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Engineering and Reliability team.
* Manage maintenance activities, contractors and labour‐hire resources to maximise site performance and minimise downtime.
* Drive reliability, asset performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Deliver the site's Reliability Maturity Strategy and 3‐Year Master Plan.
* Manage engineering budgets, maintenance costs and critical spare parts.
* Lead the delivery of site capital projects.
* Partner with Operations, Quality and Safety teams to improve productivity, safety and quality outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with company, safety and legislative requirements.
About You
You are a proven people leader with strong engineering and maintenance experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a complex manufacturing environment. Key qualifications and skills include:
* Strong leadership experience within Engineering, Maintenance or Reliability.
* Experience managing contractors, labour hire and cross‐functional stakeholders.
* Hands‐on, visible presence on the shop floor.
* Problem‐solving skills and a solutions‐focused mindset; RCA experience using 5‐Whys/Fishbone highly regarded.
* Experience managing maintenance operations with a CMMS.
* Comprehensive understanding of maintenance planning and budget control.
* Electrical trade or engineering qualifications, or equivalent professional experience.
