**ABOUT THIS COMPANY**
A market leader, this company manufactures and imports high quality commercial heavy automotive products are expanding and developing a new division to support pre-delivery preparation and customisations. As such they are seeking an experience Production Manager to join their team. With a reputation for quality and an international footprint, they have enjoyed a strong market position for many years.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
In this newly created position, you will oversee the New Vehicle Preparation (NVP) Process, manage a team of Production Workers, and ensure that our NVP facility operates efficiently and meets the highest quality standards. This role is crucial to the company's commitment to delivering top-quality products and maintaining our reputation as a leading player in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
Specifics of the role include but are not limited to.
- Production Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet production targets, schedules, and customer demand while maximising resource efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and motivate a team of production supervisors and workers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor quality control processes to ensure the highest standards in the NVP process.
- Cost Control: Optimise production costs by monitoring expenses, managing resources effectively.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, vehicle standards, regulations, and quality management, and create a safe work environment by implementing and reinforcing best practices.
**SKILLS & EXPEIRENCE**
To be considered for this role, it is expected that you will ideally bring tertiary education in engineering, manufacturing management or a related field, however extensive industry experience will also be viewed favourably. You will have been previously employed in a manufacturing leadership role, with a strong background in automotive or heavy machinery production preferred.
However, what is essential is that you bring an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean production principles and have exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.
