The Role: Engineering Leader & AI-Driven Architect
You'll own the transformation of our SaaS platform, leading a small, growing team and building a dependable, intelligent technical foundation for long-term impact. This is not a high-flash, short-burn role—it's about strategic refactoring, smart integration, and sustainable innovation.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Technical Leadership & Platform Maturity
* Transform legacy systems into scalable, enterprise-ready infrastructure
* Overhaul identity and multi-tenant architecture with best-in-class security
* Drive DDD adoption to clarify complexity and enable faster innovation
* Use AI to automate workflows, enhance search, boost system intelligence, and support smarter engineering
AI Integration & Enablement
* Identify and embed AI across platform features (e.g., smart grant filtering, donor recommendations, chatbot assistance)
* Use AI tools to accelerate development workflows (e.g., code suggestions, testing, documentation)
* Help build an AI-first engineering culture focused on efficiency and experimentation
* Keep up with emerging AI trends that support real business value (not hype)
Integrations That Matter
* Lead platform integrations with HR, payroll, SSO, CRM, and third-party systems
* Enhance robust APIs and connectors that enable seamless client experiences
* Ensure our systems work well with others—because our clients demand it
Resilient Engineering Culture
* Mentor a small dependable, high-performing team with a focus on stability and accountability
* Hire for grit, reliability, and team fit, not just technical brilliance

DevOps & Delivery
* Own and evolve our AWS & Kubernetes infrastructure
* Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo) to support faster, safer releases
* Promote observability, test automation, and calm, continuous delivery
Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with CEO, product, and clients to align technology with business strategy
* Support enterprise sales through architecture advice and integration leadership
* Communicate technical priorities with clarity, confidence, and humility
Security & Compliance
* Lead ISO27001-aligned security and compliance practices
* Ensure robust IAM across our multi-tenant architecture
* Maintain data integrity and privacy across AU/NZ compliance standards

Your Experience
* 8+ years software engineering experience (5+ in leadership)
* Proven success refactoring and scaling SaaS platforms
* Deep .NET (C#), React/NextJS, TypeScript, and AWS expertise
* Hands-on with DDD, multi-tenancy, and identity/security frameworks
* Experience building CI/CD pipelines and managing DevOps
* Experience applying AI in practical, product-enhancing ways
