Our client is a growing SaaS business with an international footprint, operating across multiple regions. The finance function is a small, close‐knit team who work directly alongside senior leadership, giving this role genuine exposure and influence beyond what a larger organisation would typically offer. This is a hands‐on generalist finance role with real breadth. You'll own the day‐to‐day across month‐end, compliance, and reporting, while also picking up systems and project work as the business grows.
Key responsibilities
* Preparing monthly consolidated financial results across a multi‐entity group structure in $AUD
* Leading month‐end close including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL management
* Supporting inter‐company loan management, FX revaluation, and consolidation elimination entries
* Managing cash‐flow forecasting across the group
* Running and processing global payroll
* Overseeing the AP process and automation tools, and driving workflow improvements
* Preparing and lodging compliance obligations including GST/Sales Tax and payroll‐related lodgements
* Preparing board reporting and financial commentary for the CFO and CEO
* Partnering with operational teams globally to provide data‐driven performance insights
About you
* CA or CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting or Finance
* 3‐5 years' experience in a generalist finance role, ideally with multi‐entity or international group exposure
* Comfort with FX and multi‐currency environments
* Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the confidence to push back when something doesn't look right
* The ability to work independently and get hands‐on, this is a doing role, not just a directing one
* Comfort with ambiguity and a flexible approach in a scale‐up environment
