The role
Full-time Interior Designer position available in Matraville NSW 2036. Visual Inspirations Australia is seeking a qualified Interior Designer to support its retail, commercial, and visual merchandising projects. The role involves developing creative design concepts, preparing design documentation, coordinating production requirements, and supporting the delivery of visually engaging commercial environments. The position will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed to client and operational standards. Position Responsibilities and Tasks Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and visual presentations for commercial and retail display projects Prepare drawings, specifications, and design documentation using relevant design software Coordinate with suppliers, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure project delivery requirements are met Select suitable materials, finishes, lighting, and decorative elements aligned with project objectives Review and modify designs based on client feedback and project requirements Support project planning, installation coordination, and quality outcomes Ensure all design works comply with safety and operational standards Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Interior Design, Product Design, Spatial Design, Industrial Design, or related design field At least two years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and commercial fit-out processes Experience using relevant design and drafting software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs Strong communication, organisational, and project coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a fast-paced team environment Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration package ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
