Role Overview
We are seeking a
Senior Tools Subject Matter Expert (SME)
with strong hands-on experience in
New Relic administration
and cloud monitoring tools. The role focuses on designing, managing, and optimizing application and infrastructure monitoring solutions, supporting performance optimization, incident response, and observability across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and manage
New Relic
including agent deployment, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
* Configure
monitoring, alerting, thresholds, dashboards, and reports
to support application and infrastructure observability.
* Perform
troubleshooting and performance optimization
, correlating alerts and incidents across tools.
* Integrate New Relic with
ServiceNow
and other enterprise ITSM tools for incident management.
* Lead or support
tools migration from Splunk to New Relic
, ensuring minimal business disruption.
* Manage user access, security controls, and scaling of New Relic environments.
* Work closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to improve system reliability and performance.
* Provide operational support, documentation, and best-practice guidance.
Required Skills & Experience
* 6–10 years of experience in monitoring and observability tools.
* Strong hands-on expertise in
New Relic administration

* Experience with
agent deployment, alerting, dashboards, performance analysis, and troubleshooting

* Hands-on experience with
AWS CloudWatch
.
* Experience integrating monitoring tools with
ServiceNow
or similar platforms.
* Exposure to
Splunk
, including migration or coexistence scenarios.
* Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Good to Have
* Experience with
Azure Monitor

* Prior exposure to large enterprise or utility domain environments.
* Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
