Job Description
Our client is looking to hire a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties:
1. Create and sustain comprehensive end-to-end BI data modeling solutions, encompassing PBI Datasets, Azure Synapse Data Models, deployment pipelines, and PBI dashboards and reports.
2. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to collect requirements and transform them into technical specifications, such as conceptual and logical data models.
3. Play a role in shaping the structure and definition of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to integrate data from various sources into Power BI.
4. Craft intricate enterprise data models using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and enhance performance for extensive enterprise-scale datasets.
5. Enforce best practices for BI data governance and security to guarantee data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
6. Collaborate with the data engineering and solution architecture teams, as well as the wider IT Team, to identify and address data quality issues and identify opportunities to enhance BI platforms.
What you'll bring:
1. Proven experience as a Senior BI Data Modeller, with a strong portfolio of successful Power BI Projects, data modelling methodologies and data integration.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
3. Experience as a Business Intelligence developer or Analytical engineer in the data warehousing space.
4. Experience with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
5. Ability to coach and help develop skills across other team members.
6. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, Power Automate, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
8. Advanced PBI Data model optimisation skills using external tools e.g., DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit and solid experience on Azure Data & Analytics SaaS technology framework.
