Job Description The Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre (MVSC) is a multi‑disciplinary specialist hospital supporting referring vets across Melbourne and regional Victoria. We see a wide range of complex and interesting cases – so you’ll never be bored!
We’re looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our Internal Medicine team in a full‑time position. You’ll help lead the team while remaining front‑line in day‑to‑day operations.
This hands‑on role involves guiding the nursing team, keeping workflows on track and maintaining high standards in a fast‑paced, occasionally chaotic specialist environment. In‑hospital patient care includes procedures such as MRI, CT, chemotherapy, endoscopy, ultrasound, and radiography. You’ll work closely with clients and clinicians, primarily in Internal Medicine but also support other specialty services across the hospital.

About You
Qualified veterinary nurse with 3+ years’ experience in general practice
Previous leadership experience (or ready to step up) highly desirable
Experience in specialty or ECC is a bonus, but not essential
Strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
Organised, proactive, and able to keep things moving
Great communicator with both clients and teammates
Enjoys working in a busy environment
Brings a positive attitude, enjoys teamwork and a sense of humour
