About the Role
VenuesWest is seeking a pool of Casual Event Safety Officers to join our Venue Delivery team. Reporting to the Technical Operations Coordinator the Event Safety Officers will support VenuesWest to deliver safe events by monitoring, reporting and providing guidance to workers involved in event activities including bump in and out and contributing to safety during an event.
This is a casual position working at Mount Claremont Perth High Performance Centre with the requirement to work across our other locations. Hours of work will vary depending on event requirements which will include outside normal work hours, weekends and overnight shifts.

About the Person
The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV (or higher) in Workplace Health and Safety and a WA Construction Industry White Card. Experience in delivering safety services and contemporary understanding of WHS is also a requirement of this role.

1. Experience in delivering safety services with a sport, recreation, hospitality or entertainment environment.

3. Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and regulations including Codes of Practice and Standards.
4. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
5. Strong interpersonal skills to manage disputes, stop works as appropriate and minimise disruption to services.
