Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our Catering Team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about a person-centred approach to care and have at least 1-2 years of experience in a residential aged care setting.
The successful applicant will provide a nutritious, appetising, and varied menu for residents that enhance their quality of life. They will report to the Head Chef and be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen section, including training, leading and inspiring the Kitchen team.
The key responsibilities of this role include ensuring food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established, monitored and maintained to meet current Food Concept guidelines. The Cook will also be responsible for undertaking ordering of stock for all kitchen areas needs, ensuring orders across sections are condensed to reduce excessive stock, and par stock levels are maintained.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* At least 1-2 years experience as a Cook in a residential aged care setting (preferred).
* Hold and maintain NDIS Workers Check (or willing to obtain).
* Completed Food Safety Supervisor Course.
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & interpersonal).
