Senior Health and Safety Officer - Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans and strategies that promote a positive safety culture across all projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant health and safety laws and regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and develop effective mitigation strategies. Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver engaging health and safety training programs for project teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely. Identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training initiatives to address gaps in knowledge or skills.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough incident investigations, identify root causes, and provide recommendations for preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future. Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and safety observations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to promote open communication and collaboration. Provide timely and effective responses to health and safety queries and concerns.
