Cyber Security Leadership Role
As a cybersecurity leader, you will play a key role in shaping the department's approach to security. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies that align with the Tasmanian Government Security Direction.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be able to motivate and guide a team to achieve common goals and drive business outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, including risk assessments, incident response plans, and data breach incident response plans.
* Liaising with state and national organizations to stay up-to-date on current and potential threats, hazards, defense mechanisms, and risk mitigation activities.
* Leading investigations and coordinating threat responses, overseeing responses to security audits, reported breaches, and threats.
* Developing stakeholder communications regarding security awareness, threats, and individual responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A bachelor's degree in information technology or a relevant discipline.
* Minimum 5-year recent working experience in ICT and/or Security field.
