About The Role
Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a leading mining asset owner delivering a major brownfield upgrade in regional Queensland. With a strong pipeline of works ahead, the programme has now moved into execution phase, driving the need for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team. This is a site-based position supporting a large-scale programme of works, covering major projects, sustaining capital and ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Flexible FIFO rosters or residential options are available. You will play a key role in managing mechanical scope across the programme, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage mechanical packages in line with project specifications, standards and safety requirements
* Develop and implement construction work packs to support site execution. Act as the key point of contact for design queries and technical clarifications on site
* Maintain engineering documentation and support safe work practices
* Work closely with project teams, engineers, and contractors to drive delivery outcomes
About You
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
* Proven experience delivering mining or heavy industry infrastructure projects
* Strong problem‐solving skills with attention to detail
* Commercial awareness with the ability to support construction programmes
* Demonstrated experience managing contractors and stakeholders
* Experience in remote or regional project environments is highly regarded
