This is a Scientific Research Evaluator role with Mercor based in Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Mercor – We are looking for evaluators with a background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related scientific disciplines.
Key Qualifications
* 2–3 years of professional experience in laboratory research, scientific analysis, or applied research roles
* Experience working with experimental datasets, laboratory measurements, or controlled study results
* Strong understanding of statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and data interpretation
* Experience comparing research findings across multiple studies and evaluating methodological soundness
* Familiarity with chemical compound properties, material data, or physical measurement standards
* Experience interpreting environmental measurements or field data, where applicable
* Experience sourcing and validating scientific tables, datasets, and peer-reviewed research from credible academic sources
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written communication skills
* Comfort working independently and asynchronously
Educational Background
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate agent-generated research reports for accuracy, relevance, data integrity, and clarity
* Assess the correctness of experimental interpretations, statistical analyses, and research comparisons
* Verify scientific tables, compound properties, and measurement data using reputable academic and public sources
* Identify inconsistencies in methodology, data reporting, and scientific conclusions
* Work independently to complete evaluations within deadlines
* Maintain consistency and precision across all assigned tasks
Role Details
* Part-time (20–40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling
* Competitive rates: $40–$60/hour depending on expertise

Contract and Payment Terms
* You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
* This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
* Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.

* Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
