The Role
The suitable applicants will support the teacher in delivering educational programs, ensuring protected and hygienic storage and handling of food and utensils. Under teacher direction they will assist with individual or small group demonstrations and be responsible for preparing and maintaining the learning environment, managing equipment and resources, assisting the teacher with cleaning and storage of items, and ensuring safety is maintained. Additionally, the suitable applicants will oversee classroom and storeroom resources, maintain inventory lists, monitor stock levels, and liaise with relevant staff for procurement and purchasing.
You will ideally have a proactive, positive approach to the role and be able to work well autonomously as well as part of a team. You should be able to prioritise tasks, use initiative, and be organised and efficient.
Eligibility
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment;
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
