What you'll own as the Enterprise Business Development Manager
As an Enterprise Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind Worldpay's growth in complex, large-scale organizations across ANZ. You'll own the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to structuring and closing transformative deals. This includes leveraging solution-selling techniques and a consultative approach to uncover client needs, shape demand, and deliver tailored payment and SaaS solutions. Your role will focus on building strategic relationships with C-suite stakeholders, expanding Worldpay's market presence, and creating mutually beneficial outcomes that optimize client experience and accelerate growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Enterprise Hunting: Identify, engage, and secure new enterprise clients across ANZ, focusing on complex, high-value opportunities that align with Worldpay's strategic growth objectives.
* Solution Selling: Utilise consultative and solution-selling techniques to uncover client needs, shape demand, and deliver tailored payment solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
* Pipeline Development: Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and leveraging industry connections.
* Vertical Industry Mapping: Develop and execute strategies to penetrate priority verticals, mapping key players, decision-makers, and influencers to maximize market coverage and accelerate growth.
* Strategic Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers within target organisations to influence buying decisions and shorten sales cycles.
* Market Presence & Brand Advocacy: Represent Worldpay at key industry events and forums to extend brand visibility, strengthen partnerships, and enhance our web of influence across the enterprise ecosystem.
* Proposal & Presentation Excellence: Develop and deliver compelling proposals, RFP responses, and executive-level presentations that articulate Worldpay's value proposition and competitive advantage.
* Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations and structure deals that meet client expectations while aligning with Worldpay's delivery capabilities and profitability goals.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams - including Solutions, product, operations, and marketing - to ensure seamless solution design, implementation, and client onboarding.
* Sales Strategy & Planning: Contribute to regional go-to-market strategies, account prioritization, and growth initiatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Customer Experience Optimisation: Drive initiatives that enhance the client experience throughout the sales cycle, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term partnerships.
* Continuous Improvement: Share market insights and best practices to refine sales processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen Worldpay's competitive positioning.
* This role is required to work with different teams across different geographies and time zones to deliver business outcomes. As such, the role may be required to work or remain contactable outside regular hours due to different time zones at times.
* Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as required to support team and organizational success.
What you bring
* Career level professional individual contributor or management role. Experienced, fully qualified professional with full understanding of their area of expertise. Works independently on problems of diverse scope.
* General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications, and banking practices. Good understanding of WORLDPAY products and services is a plus.
* Analytical skills are required to determine client's business needs and requirements. Expert problem solving, negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal) to persuade clients to choose Worldpay over competitors.
* You will have an established track record in sales, and involvement in industry trade groups preferred.
* Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public as collaboration is essential to success.
* Travel is required.
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
* 8 to 10 years of experience of working in a business development / payment role.
* Work in a fast-paced, always changing industry.
