You will be managing electrical policies, procedures, audits, health checks, maintenance, and compliance activities.This is a hybrid role, encompassing office work and site visits ensuring visible leadership in the business, with the primary objective being enhancing the awareness and management of electrical safety and compliance across the organization.Maintaining our existing EIC Electrical / HSEQ system and processes to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulationsAcross all Australian states, interpret, apply and implement legislation into company electrical policies and procedures.Conduct targeted auditing and engagement program to monitor and assess compliance with Electrical Safety legislationProvide expert technical advice to EIC, HSEQ and Operational teams on WHS matters.Delivering WHS training and awareness programs to employees via e-campus modules.
toolbox and safety committee meetingsImplementation of Electrical Management Plans and variations to existing plansWork with relevant Government Authorities to achieve long term favourable outcomes for Heidelberg Materials AustraliaBackground and Experience required:Extensive experience (Minimum 5+ years)in a similar role, managing electrical safety framework, ideally for a construction materials industry business.Minimum of 5 years of electrical trade experience as a licensed electrical contractor.Experience in implementation of safe and reliable electrical safety systems.Experience in monitoring, updating and adapting to changing electrical and safety legislation.Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and best practicesElectrical Trade Certificate / Electrical Contractors LicenseSenior First Aid Certificate, Low Voltage Rescue Certificate desirableHigh Voltage Switching Certificate desirable.Electrical Engineering Degree desirableAbility to undertake travel within Australia requiring periods away from home.Our BenefitsAt Heidelberg Materials, we understand that your well-being and professional growth are essential.
