Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator - Transport • Mascot, NSW, AU
We are looking for a Cartage Coordinator to join our Mascot site. This role will execute day-to-day ocean freight operations and all forms of transport activities. The role ensures the timely and compliant movement of cargo, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support service excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance, risk management, and operational activities to support corporate governance and company compliance.
* Build strong customer relationships and respond to changes in operational requirements.
* Review and improve business operations to maintain an efficient low‐cost operation, including implementing SOPs.
* Develop and implement all transport and operational activities required for efficient transportation and distribution of freight.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate/Diploma in Warehousing & Distribution and/or Transport & Logistics.
* 5+ years in global forwarding with transport experience.
* Relevant people management and leadership experience.
* Ability to communicate clearly the value Toll can deliver to business outcomes and the customer.
* Demonstrated global forwarding operations & market knowledge (competitors, carriers, clients & services) and local logistics market knowledge.
* Strong interpersonal, problem‐solving, planning, and negotiation/diplomacy skills.
* Experience in a similar role within warehousing and distribution.
You must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake pre‐employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.
