About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Strategic Projects to join our Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping Scenic World's future. This is a business‐critical leadership role responsible for driving enterprise‐wide strategic initiatives, leading complex change, and ensuring disciplined delivery of key projects across the organisation. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, execution, and operational excellence, you will translate ideas into outcomes, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to initiatives that enhance performance, safety, and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to a positive, high‐performance culture aligned with Scenic World values
- Partner with the Leadership Team to deliver strategic priorities and remove barriers
- Foster a proactive, embedded safety culture across the business
- Deliver projects on time and on budget with strong stakeholder engagement
- Lead and support project resources to ensure successful delivery
- Maintain project systems and reporting that provide clear visibility of progress and outcomes
- Ensure fit‐for‐purpose documentation, planning, budgets and risk management
- Establish consistent communication and governance practices
- Own and maintain the business risk management framework
- Oversee the risk register, reporting and continuous improvement
- Support leaders to identify and manage risks across the business
- Lead Scenic World's safety strategy and day‐to‐day WHS management
- Oversee safety systems, incidents, inspections and compliance requirements
- Lead the safety team and drive ongoing improvement initiatives
- Provide practical support to teams across projects, risk and safety
- Support training, systems and process improvements across the business
Key Accountabilities Strategic Leadership & Influence
- Contribute as a trusted advisor within the Leadership Team, shaping and delivering strategic priorities
- Partner across the business to remove barriers, align direction, and drive outcomes
- Champion a high‐performance culture grounded in Scenic World's values
Enterprise Change & Project Delivery
- Lead and embed change across major, cross‐functional initiatives
- Oversee the end‐to‐end delivery of strategic projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and commercial discipline
- Establish scalable project practices that improve consistency and impact
Governance, Risk & Performance
- Lead project governance frameworks that provide clear visibility, accountability, and decision‐making rigour
- Own and continuously enhance the enterprise risk management framework
- Support leaders to proactively identify, assess, and manage risk
Safety & Operational Assurance
- Lead Scenic World's safety strategy, ensuring a proactive and deeply embedded safety culture
- Oversee WHS systems, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide assurance that safety remains central to all operations and decision‐making
Capability & Continuous Improvement
- Build organisational capability across project delivery, risk, and safety disciplines
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, and ways of working
- Act as a hands‐on leader, supporting teams to translate strategy into practical outcomes
About You
You are a strategic and commercially astute senior leader with a track record of delivering complex projects and leading change in dynamic environments.
You bring:
- Extensive experience leading enterprise‐wide projects and transformation initiatives
- A proven ability to influence and collaborate at senior levels
- Strong commercial, operational, and strategic judgement
- Experience in risk management and/or safety leadership (highly regarded)
- A pragmatic, hands‐on approach with a strong delivery focus
- A passion for building capability and improving how organisations operate
