This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in research in the field of cell therapies and regenerative medicine treatments for cerebral palsy. The Research Fellow role provides professional expertise and skills in research methodology, data collection, and the interpretation and evaluation of results across a variety of projects. This role will be embedded within the multidisciplinary Research Team, supported by the Regeneration Program Lead and Senior Research Fellow. You will be based at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Institute at Camperdown. You will work with other multidisciplinary subject matter experts and academic researchers. From time to time, you may be required to travel within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities of the Research Fellow include, but are not limited to the following: Support the implementation of designated research projects; review and synthesise the outcomes of research studies, and develop ideas for application Support establishment of future research directions and strategies in collaboration with the Research leadership team, to ensure achievement of agreed goals and objectives Contribute to high quality research outputs that significantly contribute to the prevention, treatment and potential cures of cerebral palsy Maintain awareness and play a role in identifying opportunities to generate funding to support future research projects Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships to ensure the successful delivery of current and future research projects and clinical trials Contribute to development of peer-reviewed research papers/journal articles, protocols, grant applications and conference presentations Support ethics and governance administration across sites and studies Coordinate with researchers and administrative staff from multiple departments and institutions to ensure research milestones are met Participate in research team meetings and provide reports on progress and issues requiring resolution. Essential Requirements PhD, ideally in the field of regenerative medicine, biosciences, medicine, or translational research Robust numeracy skills and demonstrated attention to detail, with experience in quantitative research methods, data administration, collection and analyses Excellent organisational and administration skills, including the ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions Solid computer skills using relevant software for quantitative research, e.g. REDcap, EndNote, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated well-developed scientific writing skills with proven ability to effectively analyse literature and produce clear, succinct high-quality outputs, including website content, publications and presentations for a diverse audience Experience in clinical Ethics and Governance processes and administration A current WWCC, national police check and NDIS Worker Screening check, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role Desirable Skills Knowledge/interest in the fields of cell therapies and/or regenerative medicine Experience conducting/supporting clinical trials Experience with establishing, managing and coordinating clinical research databases (including registries) To apply please submit your CV as well as a Cover Letter detailing how you meet the above selection criteria (maximum 2-pages).
