Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable casual team members to support daily operations across our two bouldering gym locations. This role combines administration, customer service, and general facility upkeep, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
About the RoleAs a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for welcoming customers, managing check-ins, processing sales, and ensuring a safe, clean, and positive environment for all climbers. You will often work independently and play an important role in maintaining the smooth operation of the gym during your shift. No prior experience in rock climbing or bouldering is required as we provide full training and ongoing support to help you build the knowledge and confidence needed for the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
* Manage check-ins, bookings, and point-of-sale transactions.
* Answer enquiries and provide accurate information about services and facilities.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gym and shared spaces.
* Monitor the environment to support safety and positive customer experiences.
* Complete daily operational and administrative tasks efficiently.
About You
* Reliable, trustworthy, and confident working independently.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Organised with good problem-solving abilities.
* Previous experience in administration, retail, or customer service preferred.
* Interest in fitness, climbing, or community-based environments is a plus.
Requirements
* Valid Australian driver’s licence (ability to travel between North Wollongong and Albion Park).
* Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Eligible to work in Australia
Desirable (but not essential)
* Barista experience.
* Previous experience in a gym or recreational environment.
* Available for long-term work
