**Role**:Seeking an IT Security Engineer whom will establish, implement and support security solutions to protect the company and the infrastructure assets.
**Type**: Full Time - Permanent
**Salary**:$110,000 Base + Super
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
**Technical expertise**
Manage Infrastructure by:
- Effective operational management and delivery of the Cloud and On-premise network.
- Maintain the Cisco ISE environment and ensure relevant security policies are in place.
- Lead the technical development of network technology architectures across organisation.
- Proactively monitor and be responsible for network and security incidents/requests.
- Maintains documentation of the network infrastructure and recommend improvements to network management.
- Monitoring and upgrading security measures as necessary.
- Responding to any security breaches or intrusions that may occur.
- Conducting scans and testing to identify any vulnerabilities.
- Providing security support to IT Support and Software development team
**Project delivery**
- Design, deliver and implement security controls to protect the companies infrastructure and digital files, ensure all assigned work is delivered on time
- Design and develop best practice security measures including relevant policies to meet organisational and relevant stakeholder needs
**Key skills & Experience**
- Relevant degree level qualification in information systems.
- Demonstrated work experience within a similar role.
- Cisco or Network certification such as CCNA, CompTIA N+
- The following certifications would be highly regarded
Checkpoint certification (CCSA / CCSE
- IT Security Certification such as CISSP, CCSP, SSC.
- Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, URL filtering, information security and virus protection.
- The commercial acumen to provide cost-effective security solutions.
- An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions.
- Outstanding communication skills that go beyond "tech talk" - the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
- Solid time management and organisational skills.
- Previous exposure to Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks.
- Excellent communication skills, documentation and reporting at a management level.
