A Leadership Opportunity in Mining and Infrastructure Engineering
This role offers a seasoned mechanical engineer the chance to step into a pivotal leadership position within our Sustaining Capital team in South Australia.
* The successful candidate will lead a team of 6–7 mechanical and process engineers, guiding them through the delivery of complex mining and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver a broad range of mining and infrastructure projects, including mineral processing, bulk materials handling, tailings systems, mine water, site services, and maintenance facilities.
2. Lead mechanical and multi-discipline design projects across mining and infrastructure.
3. Mentor and develop engineers through our Thrive program.
4. Prepare and manage project proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.
5. Develop and manage existing and new client relationships.
6. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
7. Collaborate with peers across civil, drafting, E&I, and structural disciplines.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
* At least 10 years' experience as a mechanical engineer, ideally in consulting and mining.
* Natural problem-solver who can lead from the front and support from behind.
* Technically strong, but also passionate about developing people.
* Prior experience in a consulting environment will be well-regarded.
* Comfortable navigating complex projects and coordinating across disciplines.
* Experience in bulk materials handling, tailings systems, or wet processing.
* Background in consulting and a knack for client engagement.
