We are seeking a Contracts and Procurement Officer to work in a full time (80 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Nhill.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
* As a detail orientated team member, you will be the heart of our contractual operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of contracts and tender documents.
* Work closely with management, you are responsible for coordinating the Services contracts and associated activities and uphold adherence with policy and industry regulations.
* As a stakeholder in the Service, you are encouraged to identify and discuss process efficiencies and promote financial stability and success.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
* Qualification (Certificate or above) in contract management, accounting or equivalent field.
* Effective communication and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated contract management or procurement governance experience.
* Demonstrated supplier and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Negotiation skills.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to operate effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
* Previous experience working in contract management and procurement position or field.
* Working knowledge of health care systems.
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with experience in business report writing
PRE-REQUISITES:
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
* Working with Children Check.
* Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
* Australian Driver’s License
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
* Enter data and maintain the contract management system to ensure best practice records management and provide proactive utilisation of data to promote value driven outcomes.
* Provide information to staff preparing contract-related documentation
according to contract management policies, procedures and best practice.
* Assist with the functional contacts in each division to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for that contract management.
* Provide advice to the Executive Director Finance and Administration / Chief Procurement Officer on contract management performance, issues, status of recommendations and opportunities for improvement.
* Coordination of the Service Contracts and Contracts Management Systems to ensure the Service’s commercial interests are managed and key contract management strategies are followed.
* Coordination of the Service’s goods and services procurement requirements, including purchase and exemption requests, tender processes, negotiations and contract management.
* Contribute to the development of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance and negotiate contract variations through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes
